The House of Commons roundtable gave CMSL the chance to join an important discussion in a high profile setting. It brought together people from business and finance to share ideas, experience, and different views. As a result, the event created space for useful conversation on issues that affect organisations across the UK.

The story

CMSL’s interim CFO, Tom Lewis, attended the session at the House of Commons, which brought together senior financial professionals to share practical steps businesses can take to support regional growth while meeting evolving regulatory requirements.

During the visit, hosted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW),  Tom met Charlotte Cane MP for Ely and East Cambridgeshire. They discussed how stronger partnerships between employers, educators, and professional bodies can develop future finance talent. 

For CMSL participation in the roundtable reflects our role as a regional employer and national service provider. Reliable facilities management depends on clear governance, strong controls, and the skills to manage change. Taking part in conversations like this helps ensure our finance practices continue to support safe, compliant, and sustainable operations across the UK.
